Pitchfork’s music fest was organized by indie-rock news source Pitchfork Media that was held on July 29 and 30, 2006 in Union Park, Chicago. Although this festival is young, it has gained popularity as the indie music fan’s mecca, booking many smaller acts that do not perform at other festivals.

Rumored to join the lineup are Voxtrot, Califone, Deerhunter and Mastodon.

This year’s attendance is expected to go up 50% due to the addition of a special, All Tomorrow’s Parties-sponsored “Don’t Look Back” day during which several bands will be performing classic albums in their entirety.

Tickets, which go on sale March 12, 2007, will be $25 for a one day pass and $35 for a two day pass, or $45 for a three day pass. On March 13, the discounted three-day passes sold out and the passes went up to the regular price of $50
